Nominee Criteria

Outstanding Teacher

Nominees for the Outstanding Teacher award should meet the following criteria:

  1. Dedication to Education: The nominee must be a current teacher in a recognized educational institution (K-12, higher education, or adult education) who demonstrates exceptional dedication to teaching and student success.
  2. Innovative Teaching Methods: The nominee uses creative and effective teaching methods that positively impact student learning and engagement.
  3. Community Involvement: The nominee goes beyond the classroom to engage with the community, offering their time and skills to help students and families in need.
  4. Positive Influence: The nominee serves as a mentor and role model, inspiring students to achieve their potential academically, socially, and emotionally.
  5. Track Record of Success: The nominee has measurable accomplishments, such as improving student performance, leading successful programs, or receiving commendations from peers, students, or the community.

Business Community Leader

Nominees for the Business Community Leader award should meet the following criteria:

  1. Entrepreneurial Excellence: The nominee must be an individual in the business community who has shown excellence in business management and has contributed to the economic growth of their community.
  2. Leadership: The nominee demonstrates strong leadership skills, setting a positive example for others in their industry and community.
  3. Community Engagement: The nominee actively contributes to community development, participating in local initiatives, charitable work, or supporting social causes.
  4. Ethical Business Practices: The nominee upholds integrity and high ethical standards in business dealings and decision-making, fostering trust within the community.
  5. Positive Impact: The nominee has made a measurable and significant positive impact in the community, whether by creating jobs, mentoring others, or leading projects that have improved local living conditions.
